What age do small breed dogs reach mature height and weight2007-11-25 2:50:26

I have a five month old American Eskimo Dog that is 12 pounds. Her parents were mini's but if I remember correctly they seem a lot bigger than her. How much more should i expect her to grow? When do smaller breeds generally stop growing?

um.. small dogs grow mature at age 2 (as in the age they can breed but she might just take a year) and their hight at age 2 (weight depends on how much u feed her and what u feed her

It really depends on the breed and line/s.

I breed toy poodles, but have had minis.

My toys, now that I know many lines, most (particular lines) are "fully" mature by 6 months old. But have had others that were not mature until 7 or 8 months. Your breeder should give you a good idea.

Small/toy dogs do not generally grow a whole lot after 4 or 5 months "in general"
