What are my chances that i will get a puppy at an animal shelter2007-11-25 2:50:57

Well, i been to animal shelters only once and i wasn't allowed to look at the animals because i was to young.

I want to get a puppy, only a few weeks old. A puppy that is small so i can care for it from scratch.

For some reason i think dogs from the animal shelters are old dogs, what are my chances i can get a puppy?

The type i want to get is a chow chow, akita, or a lab. but i am find with whatever i have a chance to take home.

You will need to be of legal age in your state to get an animal from a public shelter. They have them from the earlies puppy stages to old dogs. Good for you for wanting to keep one of them from being euthanized.

The chances are excellent, and you would be rescuing a little puppy from possible death. I can't even walk through a shelter without bring home a puppy. Oh, and they are all great dogs!!

Well, if you are a minor then you need to take your mom or dad with you so that you can pick out a puppy that is just right for your family. If you and your parents visit the animal shelters you will certainly find a puppy (yes, a little puppy because there are hundreds of them out there that need good homes and they are in shelters all around the world) that is perfect for all of you!
