What are the essentials for an 8 week yorkie puppy2007-11-25 2:50:31

My family will be getting a new little yorkie puppy next week. I was wondering what the must haves are that are needed to bring this into our home. If any insight could be given, that would be appreciated. Thanks.

you need all the same stuff that any puppy needs.

basket

food and water bowls

food (puppie)

toys

i wouldnt get it a collar just yet as they carnt go outside till they have had all there injections

lots and lots of newspaper

and lots and lots of love and patience

also they are long haired dogs (dont shed hair) so you will need to have his/her's hair cut. also as they are long haired dogs when the dog soils (poo's) sometimes it ets stuck on ther fur around its bottom so if that happenes then you will need to try and get it off.

yorkies are really really loving dogs that are full of energy but can also be quite snappy.

good luck with the puppy, they are realy really hard work but well worth it!

*vet recomended dog food

*blankey for kennel, not comforter type, polly fill should not be ingested

*puppy toys, soft cloth toys for teething, harder if not teething
