What can i do for my dog2007-11-25 2:50:40

my dog started acting real funny shaking his head and winning. i saw where under his eye started swelling i gave him benadryl but it has not helped him rest at all. he is running around the house like he is going crazy what can i do?

Have you looked in his ears? He may have some sort of infection that's making his ears itch. My dog gets yeast infections in her ears and she whines and shakes her head. I would see a vet asap before it gets worse. I am not real sure you should be giving a dog benadryl, you may want to ask your vet about that. Good luck!

Take you dog to your vet as soon as you can! And PLEASE don't give him any more Benadryl--our vet said that it magnified effects greatly--I don't want to give a number, since I might give it wrong.

Hopefully it will be something easily dealt with, like an ear infection.

Sigh of allergy reaction specially around eye. Did he got his vacc. today? Take him back to vet get a allerg kill shot.

if the eye is swollen, it could be what its called "cherry eye" its a gland that gets infected and surgery is needed to correct it. if the ears is the problem, call the vet. it could be a bug or something stuck in there...its spring and there is bugs everywhere.

The vet is the answer. Could be a bee sting, allergic reaction,ear infection, and so forth. I no more home remedies

Oh my god!!! I just had this same problem... I took my do to the vet & it ended up being a problem with her liver. It was not filtering her blood so toxins built up in her system and traveled to her brain. causeing her to act crazy. Not saying you should asume that it is the same problem, but I would get it checked out.
