What can or could I do with this puppy

Well, I found this puppy on Monday (April 30th). It's kind of small and it still smelled like dog milk. It has all its teeth so I don't know if he really does need any milk, can I give it regular heated milk? Anyways, I think it might be sick with mange or something because on a finger on its back paw is loosing fur and looks a little scabby. Well, I really don't know what to say but also can you help me find out what kind of dog it is by looking at it and plz give me tips on taking care of it (plz don't say take it to the vet, I already know), but what I can do for now until maybe my dad sends it to the SPCA something.

where do you live?? dont take it to the shelter... find a rescue where it will be taken care of and not put to sleep..if it has issues then alot of the shelters will not want to put $$ into vet care for it...Rescues will. this is the "Puppy" time of year and there are alot of puppies in the shelters right now. if you let me know your area I'll do some research for ya and try and find you a rescue group... looks like a austrailian shepard or mix of aussie...smile

do not give it regular milk as most dogs are lactose intolerant... boil some chicken, take off skin, cut into small bites, mix that with some white rice... or if yu have dogs then soften their food with some hot water and give it that... thats only a subsitution for a day or 2... it really needs puppy food.. if it has teeth it might even eat dry.. make sure it has plenty of water on hand at all times and is kept in a warm place.. the wounds could be just about anything...I would clean them up with a warm wet wash cloth but dont use anything on them as you don't know what it is.
