What can these bumps on my dogs nose be
I have a two year old male (neutered) black lab mix. He's perfectly healthy, is up-to-date on all his shots, and is behaving normal. However, I just noticed two small, hard bumps on his muzzle. They're not visible under his fur, but I can feel them if I rub his nose with my hand. Is this a common thing? (I've never come across it with any of my dogs in the past.) What could the bumps be? He doesn't seem bothered by them at all (he's not itching or anything). Thanks for your input!
Answers:I don't know if it is the same but my in-laws have a great Dane and he has what like acne for a dog around the nose mouth and chin. Could be what it is but always best to get it checked out
Maybe there's nothing to be afraid, but u should take him to a vet..
If they go away within a day or so they're probably bug bites of some sort, as long as he's not itching to bad it's no biggie. If they don't go away it may be something more serious, i'd get him to a vet and checked out. Although he's young, he could still have a cancerous growth, it's much better to have it checked out and biopsied before it gets worse if that is the case. Good luck!
check with the vet , but my friend has a 2 year old lab and she gets these like dog pimples.
Dogs often develop these bumps...usually benign growths such as warts, moles, and skin tags. These usually develop after your dog is a little older and are of no harm to your pet. Maybe take him to the Vet just to be safe.
I only joined this site last week and I am shocked by the number of people asking for a medical diagnosis from a bunch of strangers. I see people claiming to be vets students and vet techs and giving what I would deem as poor advice. It is a sad state of affairs that so many dog owners are so irresponsible and lacking in knowledge that they don't think I should ask a medical doctor instead they ask people that could be anyone. If it is a case of you can't afford a vet, then you can't afford a pet, internet diagnosis is not the way to solve the problem. Ok I have vented. I would however like to say that most of the top contributer on the site seem to know something, although if it is a medical problem see a medical professional.
