What cause baldness in dogs2007-11-25 2:50:51

our dog was missing for 2 days when she came home part of her tail was bald, she isn't eating and sleeps alot. we're afraid some kid might have ran her over with a bike or somebody tried to eat her... (I'm from Asia and it happens..)

It could be a rash, she chewed it, some bug bite her, the list is endless. Try putting on some pure vitamin E on the area and see if that doesn't help. As for the rest, she is recovering from her experience and is finally feeling safe again. Let her do her sleeping and smother her with love and affection. take her to a vet as she is ill. and as for the bald part this could be done by kids graping her tail or another animal

could have been fighting, grass causes allergies in dogs also, fleas too can be a nuisance..

She might have been in a fight. Check her for broken bones or sensitive spots. If she is not eating, then that is bad sign something is very wrong. When my dog got sick, the vet said as long as he is eating he is fine, but if he stops eating bring him in ASAP. Can you take her to a vet?
