What do I do if my dog starts to urinate excessively
My dog, a weimaraner, only drank a little water but now needs to go out side to pee every ten minutes. What is this and what to do?
Answers:I actually just went through this. My puppy was peeing excessively, and felt like she had a full bladder when she just emptied it.
Once I noticed she was acting different I took her in to the vet the next afternoon and she was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. They gave her clavamox that she has to take for the next two weeks.
Definitely get him/her to the vet asap. The earlier the better. But since tomorrow is a Sunday, either try to take her to emergency care if you can or if you can't make it until Monday make sure she has plenty of fluids. The more water the better it helps break down the bacteria.
Good luck! Call the vet!
Oh and try to get a sample of the dogs urine so you can take it to the vet. If you don't some will charge or take blood which will make the vet bill higher... just thought I would tell you!
Take him to the Veterinarian, because he may have a urinary tract infection. This can be cleared up in no time with medication.
Sounds like a urinary track infection. she needs to be seen by your vet. Please get her in as soon as you possibly can. This is very irritating to the dog and can be painful too.
The dog needs to go to the vet. He probably has a bladder infection and is miserable. There is nothing you can do for him at home if this is the case.
He or she may have a urinary tract or bladder infection, bladder stones, crystals or even diabetes. I recommend you take her to your veterinarian. Make sure your dog has a full bladder when you go because a good vet will want to take a urine sample to help figure out what's wrong.
How old is your dog?does your dog eats and after drinks water? if this is so it's normal but if not he might have a metabolic disorder one of the signs of diabetes is poliuria that means peeing a lot or excesively, but better take him to the vet. I would recommend you to have him/her under observation take notes about everything he/she does when does he/she pees, is it after eating or before, so you can tell your vet and cure your dog or if it's nothing then you can be relief.
I would strongly recommend that you seek medical care for your pet
Take it to the Vet!
