okyesterday my dog had 6 puppies she is a shihtzu/bichon... in 4 weeks i will be moving... but i need help because i do not know how to take the puppies to travel because i HAVE to take them with me since i cant sell them untill 8 weeks... so does anyone have any suggestions on how i can take them??? oh and im driving there. im not flying...

put them all in a crate with the mom.
p.s. you CANNOT sell them, they are mixed breeds ( shelters are full of these dogs) make sure you worm them and get them their first shots before you adopt them out.. and consider this an expensive mistake -bad bad judgement on your part.. please have her spayed as soon as the pups are weaned
You didn't say how far you were moving, I would suggest a crate large enough for mom and babies if you ahve a large enough vehicle.

How were you planning to take the mother dog? Either buy a crate (Walmart sells them) big enough for them, or put a blanket or towel in a big (open) box that's deep enough so they can't climb out and big enough for all of them, including Mama. You should have no trouble.
how far away are you moving? if it's not too terribly far away, i suggest buying either one pet carrier for both mother and babies or one for the mom and one for all the babies. Dogs usually do ok traveling in a carrier, as long as you let them out occasionally to go to the bathroom.
Get mom a large enough box to fit her and puppies in for trip and let her do her thing . You take care of her she will take care of them all there is to it . Just make sure she is healthy and happy and I think you have done this already . Good luck in new place .
Ok, If you are taking mom in a crate, the pups can go in the same crate. If mom will be riding loose, make a bed in the back seat. Make sure there is no way for a pup to fall off the seat or get stuck. Circling the bed with a comforter that has been rolled into a tight tube can help with this.
