It changed the way people thought about this breed. And many of the customers became owners of Rescued Greyhounds.

I work in rescue and have fostered about 20 over the years. I think they are incredible dogs, and while they are fast, they are not always on the move. They are incredible family dogs, or atleast I have found that to be true of my fosters, we all know every dog is different.

They're good dogs.

I felt exactly the way u have noticed other peoples feelings about Greyhounds.that is until I spent a summer working at a humane society. A Greyhound was picked up as a stray, and after failed attempts at contacting owners, he was turned over to rescue. He was the coolest dog ever! His coat was soooo soft. He was so sweet and calm. He would run around the field with me, and then turn around and be just as happy laying in around the office all day! After spending time with him, he was not too skinny at all. I thought he was sleek, sophisticated, and beautiful. I would recommend a rescued Greyhound to anybody. I am partial to Giant Schnauzer Rescue, but I firmly believe anyone who took the time to be around a Greyhound, would fall in love with it!
I LOVE greyhounds! I don't own one right now because I already have 2 cats and anyway, there's a weight restriction at our apartment complex. :( My plan is to adopt an ex-racer when my fiancee and I get a home of our own. I wouldn't mind fostering greyhounds, either, once we have enough room.
