What do you think of greyhounds

Regardless of breed any dog that shows dog aggression should never be at a dog park it is not the place to socialize them to other dogs, if you need to work on socializing with a dog than use a much more controlled setting such as obedience classes

The ones that do not like to race are turned over to adoption often at around 16 to 18 months of age, and most will still be puppy like, some of them may be suitable for agility but very few and most of the retired racers will not have a lot of interest in doing agility they would much rather enjoy a serious R & R retirement, for the person thinking about one for agility you may be better off with a whippet instead which is more active by nature as it maybe harder to find an active greyhound that would be suitable as an agility dog other than maybe getting an AKC bred greyhound pup.

As for teeth they vary alot and it is due to genetics, I have one that requires yearly dentals and I had a 9 year old that never ever had a dental in her life and had no tartar buildup, my third will need dentals probably every 3 to 4 years

Yes they can be gassy when under stress or if fed a food that does not agree with them, change the food to one that agrees and they will have little to no gas

Most greyhound do act shy and scared when first going to a new home, for them it is a totally different enviroment than anything they have known previously, for many they find all the differences overwhelming and it may take some a few months to get used to everything and really relaxed, but once they do theire personality comes alives and each one is very different if they have another greyhound in the home in the home to learn from the adaptaton progress in much faster and many owner who adopt a second and see the difference enjoy and often end up with a third or a four greyhound
