What do you think of papillon species2007-11-25 2:52:07

Either way, here is basic information on the Papillon breed, that any owner should know:

http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/papillon.htm...

I personally adore this breed, although I wouldn't own one (I'm more for bigger dogs.)

Papillons are supposed to be very sweet companion dogs. If you got one for $20 then you got a great bargain. Hopefully she is a nice dog.
Like all dogs it depends on how you treat them. Watch them around smaller kids because they could hurt it and it might nip if they hurt it. But other than that they are great dogs.
if you buy a dog, and then decide to just "get rid of it" because you dont like it thats horrible. at least find it a real loving home where someone will actually like it! and you shouldnt buy a dog and then just decide oh just kidding lets get rid of it!
(All dogs are the same species, papillon is a breed of that species.)

I love paps! (And I own one.) They are very intelligent dogs (sometimes too much so for their own good). They are in the top 10 most intelligent dog breeds. http://petrix.com/dogint/1-10.html... And also noted as one of the most trainable of the toy breeds. http://www.yourpurebredpuppy.com/reviews...

Papillons have very friendly, adventerous temperments. From the AKC breed description, "Happy, alert and friendly. Neither shy nor aggressive." http://www.akc.org/breeds/papillon/... Also, if you want to get into agility, papillons are excellent agility dogs.
