What do you think of the dog food called Chicken Soup for the Pet Lovers Soul2007-11-25 2:52:08

It might help with the allergies if it didn't have any grains at all .. What is the dog allergic to?!?

Anything is better than IAMS. Chicken Soup is a respectable food, but you should try to find Natural Balance. The great thing about this food is that it is a single carb, single protein. Look for the Duck and Potato formula. It is an allergy specifc formula. If the symptoms don't get better in about 6 weeks, or get worse at any time, try the Fish and Sweet Potato. If that still doen't work, go the vet. A majority of vets know little about food and will push pricey Hills on you. Change the diet to a few select things. Pick up the duck and potato treats as well. Only give him those two things. This way you know exactly what he is eating. If he's not better by July or so, or gets progressively worse, take him to the vet, it may not be the food. Keep in mind that you will not see results over night! The dog takes some time getting used to the food. Good luck!

Just be sure it is not on the recall list. If ur avatar is a pic of ur chi,he`s the cutest thing I`ve ever seen and I`m sure u`d not want to feed him something harmful. Why not consult a vet in regard to his allergies and let him recommend a correct diet.
