Depending on the age and condition of the dog it can be quite tasty. You have to know how to cook it though. Leaner meat than beef but not as lean as venison. Now that I think of it, dog tastes a bit like guinea pig.

Dogs eat their own poop and the poop of other animals, so if you eat dog then in a round about way you are also eating poop. I would stick with beef if I were you.
