What does it mean when your dog drags their butt2007-11-25 2:52:11

Recently my dog has been dragging her butt and whineing. and useing the fence, tree, and a stick to scratch her butt with.

so my question is, does that mean she has worms? or what does that mean?

It means it's time to get her anal glands emptied. I'd suggest your vet or a groomer. Trust me, this isn't something you want to do yourself the first time. It's very gross!

My dog was doing the same thing. Her anal glands need to be expressed. I suggest taking her to the vet. That's what I did with mine... it only took a few minutes & wasn't very expensive.
