It's WELL BRED or POORLY bred!!
A WELL BRED animal of any breed...any SPECIES...is made by a REPUTABLE breeder ,from the BEST stock available,bred to the BEST stock...AFTER *BOTH* have -at MINIMUM-finished their CONFORMATION CHAMPIONSHIPS!
THOSE animals are by&out of the SAME HIGH QUALITY stock.going back GENERATIONS.
And.ALL offspring a RIGOROUSLY *CULLED* for conformation,temperament & health!
POORLY bred stuff is made by a greedy,lazy,UNETHICAL imbecile who sticks ANY two POS together,couldn't tell quality if it bit him on the azz & DOESN'T *CARE*!
A well bred dog means simply that it has good genetics and that it has no real health problems that occur for the specific breed. A Pure Bred dog means that it is a "pure " blood dog, such as a registered dog is, I raise Pure Bred Yorkshire Terriers and Shih-Tzus. The color of a dogs tongue has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not it is a pure bred dog except that a Chow Chow dog and A Sharpei dog both have what is referred to as a blue tongue most other breeds of dogs have solid pink tongues.
A well bred GSD as I own 2 have no hip Displaysia and no knee or joint defaults. A poor bred GSD is bred from GSD stock that is known to have these heredity defects or the preponderance to have them. However not have the dogs checked for these disorders is almost as bad in the eyes of most GSD clubs and AKC, the breeding of the dogs though not prohibited is frowned upon and without the proper paper work showing no defects the dogs pups would then be considered poor bred
The parents have approprate health testing (definatally hips in the GSD). They have been tested in show/ dog sports against other dogs and are worthy members of the breed. There will be a difference between a well breed GSD SHOW dog and a well bred preformance GSD. The show dog has a sloping rear that contributes to the gorgous long sweeping smooth trot so loved in the show ring- the prefomacne dog will have his hid legs more under him (better jumping & agility - poorer trot) and since shuzhund is big with the preformace GSD will be more forcefull in temperment.
