If you're worried about the issues with dog food that have been going on you should try out natural foods. At most health stores they also sell all natural pet foods that are much better then normal pet foods just have to make sure they say that its all natural and made here in the US. Giving your dog home made food normally doesn't work well, ask your vet if they have any mix they could come up with but normally it doesn't offer enough of what they need.

This is a good one. Only a generation ago we all made our own dog food. Complete protien can be made by mixing gains with legumes. Try scraping all your food scraps into a boul and once every few days dumping the lot in a crock pot with bacon fat and corn meal and pease and carots and lentils. ad a vitamine pill daily.
