What happens if a dog eats 5 heart warm pills2007-11-25 2:51:37

My dog just eat 5 of them, she is about a year old and likes to chew everything, I'm concerned about her, I had to leave a message for the vet.

Answers:

Hard to say... maybe throw up, or diarrhea, maybe nothing at all... When they do testing on animals before they put the product on the market, they general overdose to see what would happen. Go to the website of the product manufacture and look at the test results..

She should be okay. Try the poison control. Hopefully the vet will call back soon. To the other poster, warm is spelled correctly. Nice of you to be so anal retentive.

get ipicac and get her to throw them up. All these poisons are carefully dosed and potentialy deadly.

Nothing! Mine ate 12 higher dosage ones once (for my other larger dog) and the vet laughed and said no worries, just make sure she got her next one in 30 days.

What a waste of money though!

Depends on the size of the dog and the brand of pill you use. Wait for the vet, and if they don't call back in 10 mins, bug them again and again until they do.
