What happens to the puppies when two brother-sister dogs mix2007-11-25 2:52:16

i have two 1/2 lab 1/2 cocker spaniel dogs that inter breed and had 3 live kicking pups all girls will they have any problems growing up

Interbreeding causes:

More likely hood for genetic diseases prominent in those breeds. For cockers that will be hip, ear, and eye problems. For labs that will be bad teeth, eyes, and back problems.

They also have a higher likelyhood for personality disorders such as aggression and ADHD symptoms.

They should not be sold, and should not be given away with out fully disclosing this information to receiver.

there is always a problem possibility with inbreeding but it is not a gaurantee so i would get the puppies checked regularly

They may be sterlie(not able to have babies). Other than tha they should be fine. You may want to get your pets fixed so this doesn't happen again.

i had 5 yorkies all related,il tell you the story .1 of my males mated with one of the females (by acc)she had pups..THEN when the one we had kept was 2 and a bit he again mated with her(his daughter)and had 3 pups we again kept one and he seems ok and will celebrating his 11th bday in 2 months and hes ok,apart from epilepsy

well for a start theres a chance as the mum n dad is brother n sister then theres a chance because thier cross breed as long as they get check ups at vets ect n stuff like that hopfully they will be ok
