What happens to the puppies when two brother-sister dogs mix
bad combo to mix both breeds can be hyper and diffuclt to train
What happens? Well, as they say in some areas of the country, "That family tree don't fork".
You're doubling up on all of the genes, good and bad. That means that -- although those babies survived to full term -- any recessive genetic problems found in either parent will have a pretty good chance in popping up in the puppies.
Keep in mind that some of these problems may not appear until maturity, some may show up sooner.
Anyone who takes one of these puppies needs to be aware that they may spend a lot of time (and money) at the vet.
Spaying and neutering your littermate/parent dogs will, of course, prevent this from ever happening again.
ADDED:
Contrary to what "Joe" said, *all* dogs (just like *all* people, and any living thing with genes) have various genetic faults/illnesses in their genes. The potential is always there -- it's just a matter of whether the right combination occurs in the offspring to "express" the problem.
