What happens when another dog bites my puppy2007-11-25 2:52:16

there is this maltese terrier that lives in the next street, everytime me and my pup go for a walk it runs up to us and attacks us, though this time he bit my pup and she ran out of my hands crying. the owner of the other dog came out appologising and i explained to the owner that this is not the first time this happens its acctually the fifth time and im sick of it. what should i do...???

Answers:

First avoid that house, walk in the street or on the other side of the road. Two find out if other in the area that are being bitten. If there is a pattern you and the neighbors, may be able to go to the town and force the owner to keep the dog chained or gated so it doesn't harm anyone or anything.

Keep your pup away from the bully - it is very simple - your pup could actually get stressed out about this situation and become sick.

The owner would be liable for any damages to your dog if your dog had been on a leash. Considering neither dog was on a leash it would probably be considered a no fault.
