Take your dog to a petstore and ask for samples to see which food he does like :)

If the big box petstore in your area isn't into this sort of thing, seek out a locally owned-store with healthy pet foods or a holistic vet's office that stocks natural foods.

If your pet doesn't want to go to the store (or is uncomfortable in a store) ask the store for little take-home sample bags and bring the samples to him.

I recomend Iams small/ toy breed. Buy a small bag and start switching the dog foods a little bit at a time. Don't ever switch foods to fast. It can cause loose stools and a sick dog.

you could try chicken and rice very light on the stomach and low fat and then you could add in veg like pea's,carrots and a little pasta all cooked of coarse my little dog can be fussy and this is what i feed him along with bakers small bite he loves it

What ever you been feeding your dog for the last nine years seem to have work so far. Better stick what you been feeding him..and what is Dry Shih Tzu food.

I do NOT recomend Iams they give dog dieses to see if there food works and when they don't work the dog dies.I recomendthe raw diet. It's cheaper, much healthier than food cooked to 900 degrees.

My shih-tzu ate dry food for a few years and then didn't want it anymore. Now beside eating the meat we eat, he eats Friskies cat food.
