What if my 1 and half month puppy has a broken skull and still nose bleeding2007-11-25 2:52:18

She used to be so sweet and very active until my chowchow bit her head so hard that resulted her right eye to pop up. Yes, she has only left eye left. It was operated by the vet with no anesthesia because we were told that she is still so young that she may not be able to take it. Her skull was broken and her nose still bleeding. She should have died but i think she really is fighting for her life.

5 days after the operation of her right eye, i noticed that there is a hard bone that came out on the top of her head. I realized that maybe it is a skull. I think she has brain damage because her nose is still bleeding. But she isn't weak, She tries to walk even even her joints are not so strong like before, and drink even a little. Is she possible to live? Or is there anything i can do? What will happen now?? Pls help.

I had a 12 week old puppy whose skull was broken by another dog. The vet who repaired the damage said it was like putting together a jigsaw puzzle with some of the pieces missing.

He lived to be 13 1/2 and was one of my best dogs ever. He earned his CDX and TT, and was one of the top obedience hounds in Canada.

If I believed any of this story, I would say you must have the poor thing euthanised. But I don't believe you. Sorry.

sorry to hear it but at this state i think you must get her put down. She probably has brain damage .
