What is a Labrador x is it different from a retriever2007-11-25 2:51:42Answers:
The x stands for cross. That means one parent (usually the father) is a Labrador. The other could be almost anything including a stray dog.
A labrador cross is a labrador crossed with another breed.
A retriever is a pure breed.
It is when the dog has a lab for one parent and something else for the other...or mabye he's only 1 quarter lab..
Anyway, he is part retreiver (which is a group of dogs, which the Labrador belongs to)...or mabye all retriever, just not full lab. LOL that was confusing.
