the puppies are 3 wks old and a re is good health the bitchis also in good health so just asking

they are small animals the bicth i s about 3 1/2 lbs and the pups are about 1 lb

Puppies are usually fully weaned by 7 weeks old. The mother will wean them, herself. Do not rush it. They should not be removed from their mother & litter mates until a minimum of 8 weeks old.

You should have never, ever bred that dog unless you knew, at the very least, when you can take puppies away from their mother.

Three weeks is entirely too young. Leave them with her until they're at least 12 weeks old, start weaning them and get them on solid food around week 6-7, fully on solid food at week 12.

Get your dog spayed, you don't need to have any more puppies around.

I started feeding my litter of pups at around 4 1/2-5 weeks old. They will go nuts with their 1st meal...trust me. Let mom eat up whatever leftovers there is too. Then slowly increase the number of meals they get up to 5-6each day or so. You'll know when to lessen their meals, because there will be more leftover. Then mom will start to turn them down when they go to nurse.because their teeth will make her sore. Once they leave to go to their new homes they should be at 4 meals a day.

Have you taken them to a vet? Mom should wean them off on her own. Make sure she's eating puppy food and not adult dog food. She needs the extra calories until she feels ready to wean them. Just let her be and don't try taking the pups away before they are 8 weeks, at least. You can begin supplementing the pups at 4 weeks as well w/ canned food. Check w/ your vet.

I start my pups on ground kibble in formula at 3 weeks of age, then increase the amount of solid food as they can handle it. The mother will wean them when she is ready.

Reputable toy dog breeders do not sell their pups until they are 12 weeks old.

The mom will wean them when it is time, you are rushing things. 3 weeks is WAY too early... in some states it is illegal to take them away from their mothers until they are 8-10 weeks old. Just let nature take its course...
