What kind of dog? If it's a small breed get it a playmate. If it's a large breed, get it a deer bone, or go to the butcher and get it some fresh cow bones.

I am a little crazy over my baby but every year he has a doggie party. His friends all come over (it is good for him to socialize and play with other dogs) This year they had doggie ice cream instead of cake. You can get it at the supermarket. As far as presents go this year he got a new collar, a new KONG toy, 2 balls, 2 stuffed dog toys, and the foot long bully stick. And 4 bags of his favorite treats. Plus the presents his friends brought.

The party would be nice for Ruger it is fun for them. The foot long bully sticks last for ever and are all natural. The Kong toys are great entertainment. His Brithday is the only time my dog gets stuffed animals, he loves them but he destroys them in seconds flat. Is there anything your dogs loves like that but he can not always have?

I always make mine special meals on their b-days; and I know I shouldn't but we also take a trip to DQ and split a small cone with them (only if they're not overweight) also, we take them to petsmart and let them pick out as many toys as they like-they LOVE picking out their own toys at the pet store because it gets them out with other dogs and with people running up and telling them how cute they are (we carry treats for strangers to give them), and we love taking them to petsmart because then we know that they'll like the toys they get
