What is a good dog food that does not have corn & wheat in it2007-11-25 2:52:22

I have heard that those to ingredients are not good for you dog. I have been feeding my 2 dogs Nutro should I stay with that brand?

My husband and I did lots of research on this. We wanted to give our dogs the best food out there. I highly recommend Innova. Canidae is also excellent.

Nutro isn't very high quality food, I would recommend switching.

Read the ingredients on the food you buy. Go with a high quality dog food. A grain should not be in the first couple ingredients ingredient (corn and such are mainly fillers, dogs don't digest it well). Avoid foods that have a lot of "by products" listed.

Or check this website to find GOOD dog foods, not full of fillers and byproducts, they rate dog foods based on the ingredients, 6 being the best. I would recommend feeding only 4+ star foods. Any food 3 stars or less, I would avoid.
