The trick with training treats is to keep them very, very, very small. Just enough for your dog to get a taste and want more. About the size of the fingernail on your smallest finger - or even smaller.

The second trick about training with treats is that it works best if your dog is a little bit hungry. On days you're going to train a lot, you may want to cut down on his regular meal, or not feed at all (depending on how much time you're planning to spend training). Always calculate the treats in with your dog's overall food intake, so that he doesn't end up getting fat from the treats.

Some good (raw meat) treats are tiny pieces of liver, bits of ground beef, or small pieces of chicken. You can feed them raw or cooked - your preference. Always keep them very small, obviously, and only bring out enough for the training session, keeping the rest frozen. Do not give too much liver, it can be toxic.

Carrots are great as well - you can use frozen baby carrots in summer, which are both crunchy and cool. :)

Other than that, there's lots of other stuff - hot dogs, lunch meat, etc. I don't like using those because it takes forever to cut it all into proper sized pieces.

Dont give him anymore cheese it can make them get to fat and die early my best plan is to give the puppy some puppy treats if she wont take that than offer her regular food.

ooh. i have a german shepherd. She loves meat (kind of gross) she also likes those little rawhide bones. Maybe you could give him pieces of a hot dog.?? They also like anything meaty, or seafood. Good Luck!! :-)

Plenty of dog treats available. Cocktail sausauges/ liver / cheese/ garlic sausage. Just trty different fings till you find what works with your dog. I use plain old Bakers beef dinner for treats . I pull them apart & so 1 treat is worth a lot . Don't matter how many treats you have the praise you give is more important

Good 'ol fruits and veggies! (avoid raisons and grapes) You can also boil some chicken up (no seasonings) and shred that and put it in a baggy and give it to him during training sessions. I just started doing this for my pup and everytime she hears a baggie she comes running! It's too cute.
