What is better for your dog, freshly cooked food or kibble2007-11-25 2:52:25

Diet and Eukanuba are both great foods. With a cooked diet it is hard to give them all the nutrition they require. In a good quality dog food there should be no worry about that nor should your pet need and vitamin supplementation.

If I had to pick one, it would be the homecooked meal with vitamin supplements. BUT, I feed my dogs a combination of dry kibble at one meal and a homecooked or raw chicken their other meal of the day.

I have heard that freshly cooked food is the best for your dog from friends and tv such as Animal Planet but i havent tried the freshly cooked food . But my dogs eat kibble and are perfectly fine so i think that it is the owner's prefrence !

It's usually better to stick with bagged dog food instead of fresh. My veterinarian told me that it's better for the dog not to eat human food because dog food contains some essentials for dogs that aren't found in the food WE eat. The biology of dogs and that of humans are different and require different things.

Put together can be a benefit .Kibble and cooked turkey is what friend feeds her dog at nite. He's great .

I think it's better to use as much raw food as possible. Dogs and other carnivores are made to eat raw meat. They're digestive tracts are good for that. Don't worry that they will get sick from bad bacterias.
