Two totally different types of dog. Have you consider your lifestyle and why you want a dog? I'm assuming your just picking what looks cute to you.

Chow chow

- large (45 -70lbs) more food

- can be aggressive

- intelligent but stubborn

- will need excercise

- double coated (grooming)

Pomeranian

-toy dog(4-6lbs)

-lap dog/companion

- double coated (more grooming)

- probably more active (hyper)

- easier to travel with

- can probably get enough excercise indoor

- inside dog

It depends on you and your lifestyle. They are completely different dog with different temperments. They are both great dogs, Chows can be a little aggressive if not trained and socialized. I would go with the CHow because I like bigger dogs. You can walk further with them and they offer protection.

I would definitely have to say a Pomeranian, they care so much more adorable. They have a lot of energy though, if you like that.

I think you would like the pomeranian they are similar dogs, but the chow is very big strong and somewhat obtrusive. They also have a very shrill and loud bark. Both dogs have a lot of heart enjoy!

All depends on what size of a dog you want to end up with. Poms of course are smaller lap dogs, while the chow is a medium sized dog. I have a chow and she is a great watch dog and wonderful with my kids as well. Both breads can be temperamental though.

These are very different dogs. I prefer large dogs, so I would say the Chow, but there are many other aspects to think about. If you are thinking about getting one of those dogs, I would recommend more research. It is the only way to make an educated choice (but sometimes it is love, too...and you see a face at the humane society, and can't help yourself).
