What is the best kind of dog to get for an apartment2007-11-25 2:51:54

I want one that is calm and doesnt bark alot. Also should be smaller and not shed alot. Does this kind of dog exists?

youre funny - while youre at it - go ahead and ask for a self training dog that cleans up after herself ; ). Actually you can find a good list of dog breeds at dogchannel.com - you want a small breed that needs little exercise - maybe a yorkie or brussels griffon - they dont shed that much either.

well yeah they exist..i lived in an apartment too so i neede the same kinda dog...

a daschund(sausage dog) shud do just fine...

or else even a chihuahua..tho they are kinda expensive...

if a daschund is too big..gt a miniature...they are very cute and very reliable...

the bets type of dog for an apartmen is a smaller breed of dog. like a chihuahua. because of their size they get all of their excersise just running threw the appartment. any small dog would be good.

A Bichon. They don't shed, are very friendly, calm, and really don't bark much if you train them well.

toy poodles are great, they don't bark that much they DON'T shed, and the are a good small size and they are really calm!
