A tearless shampoo is always best IMO just in case you get it in his eyes. If you get regular shampoo in his eyes it will give him pink eye so I always use tearless dog shampoo.
i use a good shampoo from the vet because labs like my chocolate get dandruff so do not bathe them too often and never bathe them in the winter.talk to your vet.
