of all, it is rude to try to get a vet to agree to something that is untrue, and secondly genuine service animals are trained so well, that they don't move a muscle on the aircraft, and are exceptionally well-behaved, much more so than anyones regular pet. A passenger once lied and said a pig was a service animal (yes, an actual hog) and the animal went completely berserk in the cabin and made the national news.

And why should all of the other passengers be uncomfortable on behalf of someone's pet? This does a great disservice to those handicapped people who are in real and genuine need.

I actually took my dog out of the country and everything was safe. The best way is airplane, take your dog to the vet and have them check your dog and they will usually give the dog a pill for airsickness. You have to pay the airline a fee,but his safety is well worth it.

Are you going also? One way that u might be able to do but it may not be easy to deal with. Talk to your doctor get a note saying you need the dog with you.The dog will be at your side (by your feet).That might not be very comfortable for you. With a note from your doctor it would classify as a service dog/companion dog,than it won't cost anything.the passengers might have issues but they can not make you remove it.That is the federal law ADA.
