What is the difference between these Purina Dog Foods2007-11-25 2:52:40

I've never heard of little bites, but i know some better companies have small bite formuals for littlier dogs. and puppy food has more ingredients that help bone development and brain development and waht not. Please please please stay away from Purina products, iams, eukanuba, science diet, kibbles and bits, whiskas, ol roy, dads...etc... with all these pet food scares id stay far away from companies that had any involvement with it.

Please don;t think I'm being mean, but all Purina products are very low quality. You would be much better off putting them all on something like Wellness which is human grade food. It costs a little more, but because it is not all fillers the dogs eat a lot less of it. Your dogs will be overall healthier too.

If you want to get the very best dog food for your dogs, you'll have to pay for it. Most quality brands cost at least $10 for a 5lbs. bag. The first thing you need to do in finding a good food is to look at the ingredients. The first ingredient listed should be some type of meat. Also dogs' bodies aren't good at processing grains, so stay away from foods with corn and other grains. Brown rice is okay, though. Also try to stay away from foods with animal by- products in them. These can literally be things such as chicken beaks. As far as the puppy goes, you will probably want to keep her on a puppy food until she is about 1 year old. If you ever have any other food questions I'm sure your vet will be more than happy to help you. I know the good dog foods are expensive, but my vet and dog trainer have always told me you get what you pay for in dog food.

Yea, look at the ingredients on the bag...so you can compare. I personally would not continue giving the dogs Purina...there are so many different corn products that are unnessary for them.
