Here are a few that are good: Solid Gold, Wellness, Canidae, Timberwolf Organics, Innova Evo, California Natural and Artemis Fresh Mix, there are several more but these are really good. They may be a bit pricey initially but they come out cheaper because you feed less. These are 100% human grade dog food with NO corn, wheat, soy, grain fractions, fillers or by products 鈥?and naturally preserved.

dogs do great on it, get their nutrition easier from the food, not on the recall list.. Good stuff!

Canadae or Royal Canin are the best - Both are made from U.S.A. ingredients and neither are on the recall lists...

We still use Nutro, the dry food is manufactured here in the US we have had no issues with the dry cat or dog food from them.

There is a dog food brand called Precise. It's supposed to be really good and healthy for a dog and it hasn't had any problems with the food poisoning that went on. Good Luck

I feed my dogs (13) a PMI brand dog food called Bites & Bones. My dogs look great and have no health issues. It's inexpesive and healthy.

I like to use Pedigree for our dogs. I haven't seen it on the recall list and they also donate a portion of all of their sales to help adoption centers.

Purina is the safest they are a total different company than menu foods( the infected ones)

I feed my Cocker Spaniel natural food I order on the Internet. Ingredients do not include animal byproducts. They include only one sourch of protein -- like fish -- and one source of carbohydrate -- like potatoes. They also contain vitamins that are good for my dog's skin, coat and immune system. Since my dog has allergies, I think these type foods are the best. They don't have fillers added or the chicken that has been imported from China.

The recall really has little to do with which foods are best (or safest). There is no such thing a pet food company that grows all of it's ingredients. Just like the cut Spinish problem at your local grocery store, any company at anytime can buy an ingredient that is contanimated.

Until the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT (think Bush administration) alocates the funds and man power for the FDA to do it's job the problem will continue, both for ourselves and our pets.
