What just happened to my dog2007-11-25 2:53:24

My dog came into the kitchen during dinner and all of a sudden his head starting shaking up and down for about 3 seconds. then it would stop. then start again. it happened probably around 10-15 times, but then we took him outside for a while and it stopped. What happened? Please help me, im so scared. I dont want anything to happen to him.

When it happened, he acted like nothing was going on and was happy as always. I dont get it.

Was that his only symptons? He may have just been really excited and couldn't stop!

However I would watch him closely, if he appeared disoriented at all or breathing a little more heavily, I would consult a vet. He may have had a really mini siezure, but I doubt it. Watch him.

Track it everytime it happens and the length of it, so that if it does end up being seizures, the vet may better be able to tell what is causing them, sometimes they don't last long and will never come back.

your dog may have allergies, and could have been having a ceasure. when this happens, keep your dog calm and speak in a calm voice, and, above all, keep a towel near, just in case.

Nothing is wrong with your doggie. Some dogs do that because there is a breeze in their face, or if they want to sneeze but can't. Maybe he or she has a song stuck in their head!

I knew someone that had an older dog.Their dog had a heart attack but didn't know it.Convultions?Segiors?If he keeps doing it I'd have it checked out.

Sounds like he had a seizure. Call your vet and let them know I'm sure they'll want to see him. This may happen again. Make sure he is comfortable, take care of him and get that check up. Good luck;^)

check with the vet--a weird seizer maybe? I hope the best for you, just don't stress out and take him to the vet asap-if the vets not open and he does it again then go to the animal hospital cause that doesn't sound good, i'm sorry

He could have had a seizure. I think it may have happened to my dog once too. Her whole body started shaking and then it stopped and she acted normal. It hasn't happened again.
