What kind of dog is not good for first time owners
im getting a dog, what type not to get?
Answers:I'd definitely reccomend not getting a jack russel terrier.
They are seriously hyper and hard to take care of.
My aunt has one and he's on like tons of drugs lol.
My lil sister is scared of him. But I would reccomend like a yorkshire terrier or a miniature daschund. They're pretty easy to take care of and are probably the best choice if you live in a small house or apartment.
It's probably better to ask what is a good type to get. It really depends on your situation as well. Example: If you are in an apartment, a larger dog might be out of the question.
Pit bull
Rottweiler
Doberman
and any of the other "strong willed" breeds.
They are all good dogs and make excellent pets but if not properly trained especially by someone who knows nothing about the breed. This can lead to problems.
What sized dog do you want can significantly help in choosing a breed and ruling out cetain types. Also what kind of space and time will you have for the dog? Indoor or outdoor dog? once you answer those questions for yourself you can narrow down your choices.
I defiantly wouldnt reccomend any 'working dogs' i.e sherpherds, dobes, rotti's.
All dogs are the same in, if you do not train them from an early age, if you dont socialise them with children, adults and other dogs, you will have a problem on your hands no matter what breed the dog is.
