it has everything to do with heat. thats why you plug it in or put it in the sun it will move. heat makes the atoms react and move rapitly. thats why it moves.

The wax starts out on the bottom. When you plug it in the light buld heats up the wax. When wax is melted it floats. Once the wax cools down at the top it falls to the bottom. It starts all over agian.

Bingo your correct. It has everything to do with heat. The wax starts out on the bottom as the same as a candle that's burned. It's solid till it's heated which in this case by a bulb. It then starts to float around till you remove source of the heat by turning off the lamp. Thus now the wax becomes cooled off and returns to the bottom as a solid till the next time. But next time try posting this in the right section this is for dog questions.
