What medium sized dog breed poops the least2007-11-25 2:53:01

If you feed a food that has no fillers and highly digestible there will be very little poop, feed a crappy food you will be picking up lots..

I have four dogs(84 lb,76lb, 30lb. 15 b and feed EVO RM I pick up less poop in a week than one large dog will make in 3 days eating Ol'roy

Haha, the volume of poop entirely depends on what you feed him.

If you feed a dog a food with alot of fillers eg ground corn, wheat. This is pretty much any of the grocery store brands, science diet, and the majority of pet food brands.

The reason is because dogs can't digest them, so they pass right through their system. The pet foods put them in regardless because they are cheap.

My dogs are on an ultra-holistic, human-grade food that has very few fillers. I have a St.Bernard and a Great Pyrenees and they poop once a day, and significantly less volume than my friend who has a medium sized lab that she feeds alpo.

Well it all depends on the food not the breed. The better quality of food the less often they will defecate. If you use a cheap generic food your dog wil go more often as they ave more fillers and less quality ingrediants. They will still poo just less often.
