Whippet. Whippets are quiet, gentle and loyal. This dog tends to greet strangers with a kiss and loves children. The also love to chase things so should always be kept on a leash or in a secure yard when venturing outdoors.

Definitely a golden retriever. I have had mine for 10 years, and she has never bitten anyone, just likes to lick a lot. If you do decide on a golden retriever, make sure that the dog is not afflicted with hip dysplasia (hip joint doesn't stay in place). It's common among pure breeds. The breeder never told us that our dog had it, but she gets along just fine.
