At 6 weeks, it may still need mom's licking to stimulate bowel movements, so take it back or start licking!

Also, do not feed solid food yet, you may have to make "puppy milk."

And unless you are a pro and know how to socialize such a young pup, (which i doubt based on this novice question) he will most likely become a nervous, insecure, confused, sickly, unhappy dog.

Also keep in mind the cost of having a dog, roughly $1,000 for food and $500 for routine vet bills + complications.

They need to have a shot every 3 weeks until 16 weeks old and then they will need rabie also. Check with the local animal control or your vet to find out how old your dog has to be for the rabie. In my area it is 16 weeks. After that you will get a shot every year and the second rabie can be a 3 year rabie. Also you will want heart worm preventative if you live in an area where there are mosquitos.
