I myself foster. It's very rewarding.
every two weeks is not enough..you might as well not even get the dog. But your parents will probably end up giving it away if u arent able. Two weeks w/ a dog is alot of work for them then when u show up but u still have to leave. Then again ur parents might learn to love the dog and be happy! most likely NOT.
That's wonderful that you want to get a dog from a shelter.
If your family is not committed to caring for the new dog, it's probaby best that you don't adopt a dog at this time.
It would not be fair to your dog if he was neglected and not loved.
