What should I do w/ my dogs remains Cremate her or bury her2007-11-25 2:53:08

The time has come to put my wonderful dog, Sadie to rest. She never quite recovered from her bout w/ pancreatitis. I will be doing this tonight(May 12, 2007) at the animal hospital where she has been staying for the last two weeks. I need some advice on what other pet owners have done after the death of their beloved dog.

Please advise as the hour comes near.

I am so sorry about the loss of your baby!! It's really gonna be your decision to what you want to do. Personally I always bury mine but that totally depends on if you can so do that. We made a little tombstone and had her name put on it. I will pray that you will pull through this strong. God Bless

when i brought my dog to put down, me and my son left her there after she was put down, they did all the rest, I was told she was cremated with some other dogs but had a beautiful service which I didn't want to attend.

My vet offered me the option to have the remains of my cat cremated after he had to be euthanized due to cancer. His ashes, along with those of other animals that had to be cremated, were spread at a nearby apple orchard; now every time I see those trees blooming, I know that a little bit of him is still around :-)

This is a personal decision, one that only you can make but I myself (and I hope noone gets mad at me) but since her body failed her, I'd probably cremate her and scatter her ashes wherever her favorite place to be was. But that is only my opinion.
