Either way, you can bury your pet yourself (like the vet did, cause honestly who's going to rat on you for that?) but that's likely to be an even more emotional event. or if you pay for the cremation (an extra $80, damn them) you can still bury them or free your pet to the winds.
I supposed it's good to have the memory of your pet somewhere close, especially when you've been with them for so many years.
If you have a nice place to burry her you can do that, or have her cremated. some people perfer burrying over cremating. I think its just personal preference. If you had a loved one that has already passed it would be nice to have her cremated and then burry the ashes where your loved one already lays to rest. That way they will be together. I personally dont think i could burry my dog. I would have to have someone else do it for me so i would probally cremate. I also look at burrying like this. You dont know where you'll be in how many years from now and say you burry her beside your house. What if 20 years from now you dont live there and someone else and builds on or tears the house down to build a mall. Do you want to take the chance of her remains being distrubed. I hate the fact they the dog I had while i was growing up is burry now. Which at that time I dont think they gave the option of being cremated. Well the house where she is burried is now being tore down and a mall is going up. I hate the fact that she might be dug up and just chunked somewhere else. You have no final say on the future and have no gaurantees on this situation. My dog was burried 19 nears ago and now look. So i would get her cremated and maybe plant a nice flower bed. You can dig a hole, place her ashed in the whole and plant a rose bush (or any favorite plant of yours) then its a memorial for her. You can say baby I miss you so much and love you.your rose is beautiful. thank you for still being with me. It will be your little sacred special place you can morn and always remember her at. The ashes will eventually blend in with the soil and be gone but you will always have her plant there.
