What should I do w/ my dogs remains Cremate her or bury her
1. You can opt for a group cremation where a number of pets are cremated at once. You don't get the ashes back
2. A simple private cremation - where the ashes are returned in a simple bag or box so they can be scattered
3. Deluxe private cremation where the ashes are placed in an urn or cedar box.
If you choose to bury her, you have to dig a pretty deep hole.
The choice is a very personal one, but my opinion is that it is much less traumatic on owners to have them cremated. Somebody else takes care of the remains and you are left with your memories and possibly her ashes to memorialize as you see fit.

I went through that same painful decision a year and a half ago...I'm terribly sorry for your loss.But your love for her by doing the right thing is to be commended.I had my baby Alana cremated,they put the ashes in a lovely cedar box with her name on it.I put her collar,a toy,and a biscuit in the box,which I keep in my bedroom.I've also buried former pets...I really like having her close to me like this. If you don't own your home I would suggest cremation,so you don't leave them behind when you move. Again,I'm SO sorry for your pain,try to remember how much they love you,and the good times you've shared,and know that Sadied knows you love her! Good luck.
I am sorry to hear of Sadie's battle with pacreatitis. I have always held my dogs as they are being put down--as my vet and I cry together. I always whisper in their ear that they have been such good dogs and offer as much comfort in my voice as I can muster. After all, it is the dog who needs us most at this time.
Dealing with the remains of a beloved pet is so personal. I have cremated some and also buried some in the back yard. If you have a home and a yard that is yours, burial is nice.
I hope you have many fond memories of Sadie.
