What should I doPLEASE HELP ME DECIDE2007-11-25 2:53:33

Okay...I have two maltese dogs..which I LOVE VERY MUCH!!

My husband always gets deployed

so

my MOM is also attatched to the dogs too!!!!

Here is what I was thinking:

I could keep one and she could keep one, and then each of use could also get a new puppy?? Then, they still have companions and we would each get ONE of these loving dogs!

PLUS, I would really love to get another puppy.but I live in an apartment that only allows two!

So, should I just take them both home with me?

OR- each of us adds one and keeps one?

Hey if your mom is willing to takew one of the dogs your have so you can get another puppy, I say it sounds like a great idea! Just make sure the two oldest dogs visit each other frequently, they might miss each other and get depressed, although I doubt with puppys. My suggestion would be try getting the puppy(s) first and have your mom come over for a couple days, so they dogs get used to the puppys and dont feel they are a replacenment for their friend, and then your mom can leave with her dog n puppy (?) to me that depends on the dogs, are they attached to each other? if they are they probaley wouldn,t do to good seperated! if they are not then your ideal would be fine but you also got to take into consideration it takes some work to get your dogs comfortable with a new puppy.

if the dogs arent too attached to you or each other I would give your mother one of the dogs! I dont see why not! =) that would be a nice thing to do!

If these dogs have been brought up together they should not be seperated they will pine for each other & bringing a puppy will not help.

They are your dogs & if your mum wants one she should get her own, think of the poor dogs lived with you all this time now your thinking of getting rid of one just so you can bring a pup in, sorry but I just dont think that is the right thing to do.

Think of your dogs not yourself, keep them together
