What ever you want!!! My mom always would go to the door and yell the name of the pet, if it sounded stupid she would tell us to try again!! Serious tho, you should try to keep it short as it is easier for dogs to learn their names that way. I was told by a trainer no more then two syllables.

Study the dog for a few days, watch it's habbits and the way it acts and how it looks. The name will come to you. Whatever you do don't settle for a name that you don't really like.

What kinda dog? u don't want to call a little dog killer or godzilla and a big dog would look silly if its name was muffin or Fifi.

I hear so many new owners wanting help for naming THEIR new addition to the family.. I have found this a very special thing to do. something just for the two of us. My advice- spend time with them..all animal have their own personality and should be named in that manner. Its taken me up to 2 wks to find the perfect name that fit. But it was worth the uniqueness. Besides no one knows your pet like you.
