What should i do about this
i'm a visiting nurse and go from house to house. i have a patient who has a dog who always sniffs my crotch. it's sooo embarassing. the dog also embeds his nose in my scrub pants and wets them and leaves staines.
how should i tell the owner that i don't like it without upsetting her?
Answers:I'm also a visiting nurse and I know how it can be going to different houses. Ohh the things you run into LOL. The dog is smelling your crotch because thats how he gets to know you. He will remember your scent that way. That's why the sniff other dog's butts. I would just look at the dog and say his name and say NO! Then maybe the family will get the hint that your not comfortable with this. You would think they would have some common sense to yell at the dog! Good luck!
you could just tell her that you feel uncomfortable around the dog and would appreciate it if she put the dog away somewhere before you came over.
Tell her you're allergic to dogs.
Just push the dogs head away and tell him no. If your patient cant understand that, then tough luck for her/him. That just makes him/her a poor human being.
I would ask her to maybe have her dog put away during your visit. Say that you have other patients who may be allergic to dogs, and it would be convenient for you if you didn't to have to change your scrubs for every house. Good luck!
I also work in the medical field. What I found works is simple honesty. You could say "As much as I enjoy your dog, it would make visiting and caring for you easier if he were put in another room or outside while I'm here". Good luck, hopefully they'll be understanding. You're there to help them not have a wet crotch from their dog.
You must tell her to keep her bed partner in the bed room itself for her use, others don't like dog play.

It's just a dog thing, they sniff each other's butts. You have to speak to the owner, hnicely asking her to refrain her dog from doing so since it stains.
