I have a 3 year old scottish terrior. My mom did not want it anymore and I need to find it a home. She is house broken and very mild mannored. I love her. I just cant keep her right now I just had a baby. She is full bread!

Find a breed-specific Scottie rescue near you and surrender (turn her over) to them. A 3-year old dog should be a joy to someone else; old enough to have been obedience and house-trained and young enough to have plenty of years of life and love to give. They will make sure she is UTD on vaccinations and HW preventative and spayed before placing her, so no worries that she will end up a breeding machine.

Another good option would be to contact your vet (or even call other vets in your area) and ask if he/she knows someone who would take in a good little girl; perhaps the vet will know of an individual who just lost a dog to illness, etc. Also the vet would know if that individual was good about taking care of their pets. Do a Google search for Scottish Terrier Rescue.

Most areas have a resuce where you can take her. Try to find one in your area or close to you. That is the best way to do it.

Oh no! ... Can't you make a deal with your mom or a friend to take her in for a couple of months until you get used to the routine with your baby ... And then let your dog move in with you ...

If theres no other choice, place an ad in your newspaper and interview people that would take her in and when you feel you trust this person, let them have the dog ... And if that person is willing to you updates on the dog if that will make you feel better ...
