What tree should I plant where my dog will be buried2007-11-25 2:53:40

My black lab, Tori, was put to sleep this past Friday because she had pancreatic cancer which spread to other organs in her body. I want to bury her outside in the front of my house because that is where she loved to be so she could sit on the porch and listen to the birds.

I am sooo sorry about your dog. I would plant a maple or an oak. they are good nice shade trees. you can put a memorial plack under it and put a nce bench there to sit with her. plant some flowers around the bottom of it.

How about a magnolia tree? They are so beautiful and bright and smell great. It could remind you of the renewal of life each year.

Willows are beautiful trees. It takes them a few years to get filled out, but once they do, they're gorgeous. They do especially well if it's a low spot that gets a lot of rain. Otherwise, maybe a dogwood or redbud if you'd like something that blooms. Sycamores grow slowly and last for hundreds of years if you'd rather have something like that.
